A Classic Time Amongst the Vines! ......
This three day / two night touring experience will indulge your senses with a barrique of pleasurable and unique experiences.
Day 1 Enjoy the very best of South Australia as your day unfolds with our 'Fruits of the Vine' Barossa Valley day tour. As your bountiful day in the Barossa draws to a close, it's time to relax in the comfort of Abbotsford Country House. Your hosts will welcome you to one of the regions premium B&Bs. You'll dine in-house with a sumptuous 3 course dinner, awash with premium Barossa wines, served in the finest Waterford Crystal.
Day 2
Awake to the sounds of nature as you salivate over a traditional fully cooked English breakfast prior to departing. A short drive will take us to the gently undulating hills of the Clare Valley, located in the pastoral countryside of the mid-north, a region that is renowned for its cool climate wines. Today we will explore the valley at a more sedate pace as we swap four wheels for two (optional)*. We'll journey, by bicycle along a section of the infamous Reisling Trail and uncover a sumptuous selection of cheeky, refreshingly crisp white wines…….a Clare classic!
Your hosts tonight will be Stephen & Caroline, proprietors of the Patly Hill B&B. Set on a16 acre property, your accommodation is beautifully appointed and has a rustic Australian country feel. Bring your bathers for the in-house spa and sauna room. We have arranged for you to indulge in a relaxation massage (optional)** in the privacy of your own room, prior to dinner at one of the regions newest restaurants.
Day 3
Arise to the laughter of Kookaburra's and enjoy the sunrise over the great South Australian bush, from the vantage point of your personal balcony. A country cooked breakfast is provided. After a relaxing morning, we return to Adelaide via the historic town of Mintaro, once reputed to quarry the world's finest slate. You'll also visit the impressive Martindale Hall, as featured in the movie 'Picnic at Hanging Rock' and if time permits, the historic railway station at Riverton, where it's reported, Australia's first Political assassination took place. We'll finally arrive in Adelaide for approximately 5pm.
