Personable and witty without being intrusive he guided us through the Adelaide history and of the Barossa region with excellent knowledge and well received side tracking. Four wineries were visited - which is ample - all offering differing styles and even the Mead distillery which was actually a highlight of the day. Lunch was excellent, held in one of the township restaurants- main and dessert and top class food. Couldn't fault the day. Thsnks Vince. read less

We visited 4 fantastic wineries (including one that served us lunch). The pace was perfect - enough wineries, but not so many that it felt rushed. The tour guide was fantastic and was very passionate about the region 🙂 Going forward, I'd love to do other tours that this company offers - I'm sure they'll be just as good! And a word of advice to single travellers - I've done this tour twice as a solo traveller, and both times the groups were super-fun and everyone got along quite well. Would highly recommend this tour if you're single (or if you just like to drink good wine!) 🙂 read less

Being chauffeured by Danny through the seaside suburbs of Adelaide down to McLaren Vale was informative, relaxing and memorable. Danny has an obvious love for the area and his tours, which made for a wonderful experience for my wife and I, celebrating our wedding anniversary. The wineries were just so warm and welcoming with informative people at each winery assisting us. Danny knows which ones to go to and has a great relationship with each, which made for a welcoming warm experience. The fine dining lunch was a highlight. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. We loved the day, thank you Danny. read less

All wineries were staffed by knowledgeable and enthusiastic people who provided generous and varied wines for sampling. On two occasions the fines tasted were tailored to your preferences. The lunch was delightful and the cheese as well as the chocolate outlets were brief but welcome. Maggie Beers was an excellent conclusion to a great day. Our tour guide and driver Innez was knowledgeable and forthcoming about the history of the area, the wineries and the pioneers who developed the area. Her driving was impeccable. Little touches like having a fridge available for perishable food and wine was appreciated, adding to the enjoyment of the day. The tour commenced a little before 9 am and finished at about 6pm mainly due to the mad traffic in the Adelaide CBD at the time of the bike tour read less

Unfortunately the cheese tasting was no longer part of the tour (thanks covid!) So it would have been good if something else had been included in it's place. Can thoroughly recommend this small group day tour out of Adelaide; bet you will sleep well that night.

The tour took us to three wineries. The second was Langmeil, which was our favourite.
The lunch and cheese stops were welcome after all the wine. I had a tasty kangaroo fillet steak.

Of the 4 wineries we visited, Fox Creek and Leconfield wineries had a superior list of wines on their tasting lists
We appreciated very much the complimentary serving of cheese and cracker from Danny.
We were delighted that the two wineries mentioned had a spakling red. This is not meant to downgrade the excellent riesling, shiraz and cabernet sauvignon that were on the tasting list.
The reds on the tasting list would be given high ratings by guests.
It is just that we do not find sparkling shiraz or cabernet sauvignon in Singapore, where we come from.
It was like Christmas had come early in July this year.
The wine tasting and lunch at Leconfield was very nice. We enjoyed the pate and the cheeses that went well with our glass of wine.
Thanks to Danny for sharing with us a good place for seafood at dinner time.
We took up his recommendation on the seafood restaurants at Glenelg Pier.
We thoroughly enjoyed the oysters and seafood platter.
The tour with Danny (Topfoodandwinetours) was a delightful experience
Topfoodandwinetours was the only company that asked for the Hotel that guests can be picked up, in its online booking process.
The pick-up time at the named hotel is confirmed in the tour ticket.
