Our day started with him giving us an oral history of Adelaide on the trip along with learning about the history of wine production in the Barossa and McLaren Vale. We began at the gorgeous Chateau Tanunda for a tasting, followed by the more quaint Rockford (in a good way, smaller, hands-on operation), a stop for lunch where we were able to have some delicious kangaroo (and more wine of course) plus a visit to the cheese shop while waiting on our table, then on to Tscharke and finally Langmeil to finish our day. We had many delicious tastings and brought back an impressive several bottles of Shiraz to the USA that we look forward to decanting after laying them down for a few years.
I was particularly interested in visiting the Barossa on our trip and my wife, two sons and I were more than satisfied with our visit, Danny was very informative and a wonderful guide, we highly recommend this tour.

This tour was a foodies absolute delight and perhaps dare I say it - one of the most enjoyable tours that I have ever done!
The booking process was simple, confirmation was quick and then Mark promptly met us well ahead of schedule on the tour day.
Mark was amazing as our guide - his knowledge and passion for the markets and the Adelaide region, is what made this tour so fantastic! He is the undisputed king of networking we also discovered - I guess this would go hand in hand with being a long term stall holder, within this beautiful community!
When Mark would introduce us to the wonderful stall holders, he was extremely friendly and engaging - proud of everyone’s stories (past, present, future).
Personal highlight - the amazing Spring Onion Pancake in some sort of umami brown sauce, from the former Olympian volleyball player turned Market stall owner!
Mark really made our visit to Adelaide, so much more than we thought it could be. I will be talking of this tour, for many years to come!
Tip 1 - do not eat breakfast prior to the tour under any circumstance!
Tip 2 - if planning a weekender beware the markets are closed Sunday and Monday. Because trust me.. you’ll be going back for more food.
My husband and I can’t wait to be back in Adelaide, it’s a beautiful city - with the beautiful market being the beating heart and soul of it all.
Thank you Mark, we can’t wait to visit you again soon! read less - Elliepau

We were treated like royalty with a fun loving, friendly, smiling and very knowledgeable tour guide. A beautiful Adelaide day made the panoramic view at Mt Lofty stunning followed by wine tasting amongst the Kangaroos at Nepenthe Wines. We had limited knowledge of wine making and the different grape varieties but left the cellar door beaming with information and of course leaving with a Gruner Veltliner and Pinot Noir Rose. Next stop, Melba's Chocolate & Confectionery factory and next door, G&C cheese where we tasted buffalo cheese and gin infused cheese (both very tasty). Lunch at the German Arms Hotel was most memorable due to the surroundings, friendly staff, German beer and the huge meals followed by their dream apple strudel dessert. Innez gave us an exceptional overview of the history of Hahndorf and the life of the local Germans during the second world war. We were given plenty of time to explore Hahndorf and enjoy the autumn coloured street lined trees, historic buildings, crafts and museum. Some more wine and cider tasting at Sidewood Winery before a walk around the Bridgewater Mill witnessing the largest waterwheel in Australia. After wine, cheese and chocolate tasting along with a huge lunch, Innez had a couple of weary guests with a mini fridge in the boot full of 'goodies' to drive back to Adelaide. A huge thanks to Adelaide's Top Food & Wine Tours for a wonderful unforgettable day out. It was obvious to us that this family owned business values their clientele and we found them to be very professional while at the same time providing a value for money tour. Put this on your 'bucket list' Brilliant. read less
